Inspection of heat exchangers
Dacon Services AS performs cleaning and inspection of heat exchangers.
The inspection method of choice is based on the customer’s request.
Dacon Services AS is certified to use NDT methods such as ET (Eddy Current), MFL (Magnetic Flux Leakage) and VT (Video Inspection) on heat exchangers.
Cleaning and inspection of heat exchangers
By the use of specially adapted video probes, surface cleanliness and condition of heat exchanger tubes are detected (corrosion, blockages, leaks, etc.). Dacon Services AS cleans blocked heat exchanger pipes by the use of high pressure flushing and staking.
By the use of the ET (Eddy-current) equipment Ectane 2, Dacon Services AS has the opportunity to detect a number of defects on the inside of pipes, defects on the inside of pipes and possibly permeating defects. The apparatus can be equipped with various probes based on the materials to be examined.
IRIS is an ultrasonic based method that will detect internal and external corrosion, material thickness, pittings and cracks. The method requires supply of water.
Dacon Services AS has carried out a number of combination jobs consisting of both cleaning and inspection of heat exchangers.
